Can you make my voice into a star's vocals?
We can do a lot, but not everything. Before recording a song, it is important to warm up your voice so that it can shine in all its glory. We can correct notes, improve rhythm, eliminate noise and jitter, make vocals smoother, adapt timbre, create sound ambience and much more… However, we cannot make weak vocals stronger, improve pale vocals, or correct hoarse voices. These tasks lie within the competence of the vocal teacher.
However, the most important thing is to try to sing in your own voice, without imitating anyone else. Trying to imitate famous stars will most likely not lead to success, and may look funny and unnatural.
What microphones do you use to record vocals?
To record vocals, we use tube and condenser microphones, depending on the song, voice timbre and your wishes. We have models such as Neumann M 269c, KM 184, SM 2 (XY, stereo), TLM 103 and others. The microphone fleet can be found in the category.
Is it possible to bring friends with you to the recording?
Yes, of course, you can, but no more than 4 people. All the rules that are adopted in our studio can be found here.
What if I don't hit the notes?
If you are singing “around” notes, but the notes are correct, we will correct it without the listener noticing. If you missed several notes from the song, but sang others, this is also not a problem: we will present it as a variation. If you sing, in principle, a different melody than was composed, or the entire song on one note, then we will create a new, “your” motive, where the notes will be arranged in a key so as not to create obvious dissonances.
What is a backing track?
“Backing track” is a soundtrack of accompaniment without vocals. Unlike karaoke, this is the original phonogram of the “star”, in his key and often with “backing” – additional voices. Therefore, the quality of recording a song with a backing track will be higher than with karaoke. However, there is also a difficulty – you can only make the backing track slightly higher or lower, so rehearse before recording the song.
